The Junior and Secondary School Buddy Program was established by students who saw the value in strengthening connections between the senior, middle, and junior school communities. Each week, students from Year 9 and 10 leave of their classes to assist their younger peers in junior school classrooms.
This initiative benefits junior students by providing them with additional support and encouragement, helping them overcome challenges and fostering a positive learning environment. For the secondary students, the program offers an opportunity to develop crucial leadership and mentoring skills. Through their interactions, they learn effective communication, problem-solving, and empathy, which are essential for personal growth and future leadership roles. Overall, the Buddy Program nurtures a supportive school culture, enhancing the educational experience for all involved.
